How can I turn recording on or off on personal time?
Go to the Camera Settings screen in the Help menu.
When does video get sent to the DriveScape app?
The DriveScape Dashcam is recording all the time when plugged it and you are on the move. All recording is stored in the dashcam itself and can be retrieved when you make an app request.
Video is only sent to the DriveScape app if:
- The dashcam detects a hard brake or crash
- You press the Bookmark Button
- You request a 5 minute video from any of your recorded Drives
Do I need to be near my DriveScape in order to see videos on the phone?
No. DriveScape sends videos to the cloud. With the DriveScape app on your phone, you can view videos anytime you have access to the internet.
You need to have your DriveScape dashcam plugged in and go for a drive after requesting a video via the app so the video upload can be completed successfully.
How long do my videos stay available to view in the app?
Once a video is sent to the DriveScape app for you to view, either from a hard brake or button press, the video will stay available on your app for for three months or 500 videos, whichever comes first.
Is audio recorded on personal time?
Yes, audio is recorded during all Uber trips. Audio is also recorded during personal time as long as the cabin video is turned on in the DriveScape app settings.
