To manage location permissions on an Android device, you can do the following:
- Check which apps have location permissions
Open Settings, tap Location, then App location permissions. You can see which apps are allowed to use your device's location, and change their permissions by tapping on them. - Manage location permissions for a specific app
Touch and hold the app icon on your home screen, tap App info, then Permissions, and finally Location. You can choose from the following options: - Allow all the time: The app can use your location at any time.
- Allow only while using the app: The app can only use your location when you're using it.
- Ask every time: The app will ask to use your location each time you open it.
- Don't allow: The app can't use your location, even when you're using it.
- Turn location on or off
Open Settings, tap Security & Location, then Location. You can also scan for nearby networks, turn Wi-Fi or Bluetooth scanning on or off, and turn emergency location service on or off.
