Testing Gyro on Samsung

Samsung devices have the ability to access a secret Diagnostic Menu where the user can check and test the various physical sensors their device has.

To access this menu:

1. Open the devices respective "Phone" app

2. Type in the following: *#0*#

3. Click on the box labeled Sensors

You should now see the screen below:

To test Accelerometer or Gyroscope:

Most smartphones today have a built-in Gyroscope and Accelerometer. 

PHONE MUST BE PLACED ON A FLAT SURFACE FOR TEST TO WORK PROPERLY

1. Click on GYRO SELFTEST (shown below)
2. Do not touch the phone and allow it to run the test.

You should see a screen with 3 tests saying "PASS" in blue and an overall "PASS"

Note: there is no need to test the OIS Gyro as this is used for Image stabilization when taking photos/videos.

To Exit the Menu:

Click the back button repeatedly until you exit to the phone app or home screen
